Jon's Car-Angelina

There are not words to describe how Jon feels about his car I am sure. Obviously it is enough to have pictures taken of it.
These are my two favorite ones from the shoot.

These were shot from the top of the parking garage for the Houston Museum of Natural Science.

Tamborello family

This family was great...I always say that and I always mean it. I love my work.
I donated a free photo session for an auction at a local elementary school. The Tamborello's were the winners of that.
Like I said the family was great to work with and the kids were huge hams.

Hailey, Jon and Skye

The family is staying here while Jon helps with hurricane recovery (well it is kind of part of his job). Skye is the sweetest and most adorable little girl. She has a great personality.
This family loves to have fun together and it really shows.

catch up

I am just playing catch up on my blog and adding some of my favorite images from different shoots. I hope my readers enjoy some new stuff added here...

Simmons

Steven and Sandi were one of the sweetest couples I have worked with.
Their wedding was so much fun.
And this groom would do anything to make his bride happy.

murphey/metz wedding

I had a great time shooting this wedding. The bride called the week of. Their plans had changed, and they were now getting married at home instead of the elaborate location wedding they had planned. I want to say Bermuda, but it may have been Cancun. (Sometimes my memory is terrible when it comes to names). Their wedding was held on 8/8/8. Which was also my husband's birthday.

Allen wedding

The Allen wedding was held at Hotel Galvez in Galveston, Texas. It was a beautiful wedding for a lovely couple. He played football for the Univesity of Houston, and if I heard correctly she was a cheerleader for UH too.

my first wedding

Well it was about a year and a half ago that I shot my first wedding. It was a very small family only wedding held in a Bennigans before it opened for the day. The reception was an intimate lunch of family and friends. The couple had met there and he was previously a manager at that location. Here are some of the images from my first...

Crystal

One of my very good friends and I went on an adventure to take her bridal pictures. We went to the civic center in Lake Jackson and then to Quintana Beach.
I am not sure who had more fun me working, Crystal playing in the water in her wedding dress, or our girls playing behind the camera...

backup-backup-backup!!!

I can't stress it enough, and I know we hear it all the time. I as a digital photographer should have done better. I kick myself that I didn't. However I can say I have truly learned my lesson. My external hard drive where I store everything from work images to family photos, to music, to documents crashed. I took it to a recovery place and they are able to fully recover everything (well 99.99%). I am very thankful. I know Stephanie and Sandi are too (these are two brides who were waiting on pictures from their wedding). Thank you ladies for being so understanding and not having a few choice words with me. I didn't expect you to be as understanding as you seemed. So thanks again.
Lesson learned though. I now am using two externals, and backing up RAW images on dvd's along with everything else.
So future clients know that I am now prepared for just about anything. As soon as I get home from your shoot I dump my memory cards on to both hard drives and on to 2 dvds. One dvd is stored at another location just in case of fire, flood or some other act of God.
So learn from my mistake BACKUP! I cannot stress it enough.

Martinez Wedding

8.22.2008

I first talked with Liz many months ago. Almost a year ago I think. Wow time flies. I had looked forward to doing her wedding since then. She was so excited and hoping everything would go perfectly (what bride doesn't). Of course as soon as I first saw her after hellos she exclaimed "everthing that could go wrong has". I am pretty certain she enjoyed her day, if she didn't she is a great actress.
The wedding was beautiful, on Galveston Beach at sunset. It made a beautiful backdrop for their wedding.
I am working on her pictures now and am rushing to get them done before I get my hard drive back and need to pick up on the two weddings before hers.
However here is one image I want to share so far. Liz I hope you like it...I picked one with no ones face just for you :).

WPFG

I traveled to Austin, TX this weekend and to work with the Wolf Pack Film Group once again. It is always a pleasure to work with Robin and her "entourage". I feel I got some great shots and can't wait until I have enough time to search through them all. I have a few that I are my favorites which I will post below.
I want to think Robin Blesch, WPFG, for putting together the workshop, Michael Morlan and his guys for their expertise and help, Barbara Brinkley for the advice she gave. To the models who were all so wonderful to work with, and everyone involved for making the weekend just fantastic. Everyone played their part perfect to make the weekend magical. Most of the models
came from JB models and talent.
For me this workshop was all about learning more. I took every bit of advice I could. As a perfectionist it is hard to hear any kind of criticism but I had to keep reminding myself it was constructive criticism. Everyone was so very helpful.
Just a note all I have done to these images was resize them so they would upload faster.
There are more here...plus more to come...
